"My most memorable moment...is when I was about 13, 14 years old I used to be on the 'Fresh Fest', so I seen Run-DMC at their prime, I seen LL Cool J when he first performed 'Radio'. I mean I know what is to be at a Hip-Hop show. A lot of these kids ain't never get a chance to see that..." - Jermaine Dupree

Hip-Hop is more than what is being distributed on the airwaves. Creativity exists and it's up to the listener to decide what is hot. RareHipHop.com is an online music service that specializes in delivering music that one can not purchase through traditional forums. We will focus in hard to find music. Our audience will be exposed to a wide selection of songs that are not being played on the radio. RareHipHop.com will celebrate those artists that have paved the way for the hit makers of today and those that are influencing Hip-Hop today.

A number of artists; such as the Cold Crush Brothers, Grandmaster Caz, Digital Underground, Ice T and many others, including Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Jazzy Jeff and Slick Rick are still active today, but you will not hear their music on the radio. We will be the platform for those performers. In addition to the legends, RareHipHop.com is a marketing tool for the independent rappers that are looking to have their music heard. Finally, those that are hot today will have an avenue to move music that the record label does not want to release.

We want to celebrate creativity and allow artists that were big sellers in the past to have a means of having their music heard without the bias of a program director. RareHipHop.com levels the playing field for an artist, no matter where they are located or age group they fall into, they have the opportunity to be heard or promoted. Creativity will be rewarded and music will be sold. We believe in the concept of music on demand. For years, music has been placed in the hands of program directors to tell us what is hot, now we are going to allow the listener to decide.
