Jazz veteran Herbie Hancock has teased new collaborations with rappers Kendrick Lamar, Common, and Snoop Dogg to give his forthcoming album an eclectic hip-hop vibe.

The musician is working on his first studio release in eight years, and the project will be a unique affair, mixing jazz and funk with rap, but Hancock reveals he's learning about more than just what's hot in the modern music scene from his younger collaborators.
