Queen Latifah has decided to give back to the city she grew up in. The actress, rapper, producer and former talk-show host are slated to break ground with a $14 million housing project in Newark, New Jersey.

The plan includes 20 three-family townhomes with 60 units along with three-story mixed-use building with an additional 16 units NJ.com reported. The plans also include a fitness center and 1,900 square feet of commercial space that be used for non-profit organizations to rent out. The 60 unit housing project will be market but the 16 units in the building will be affordable
