Sammy B: Legendary DJ of the Jungle Brothers

Samuel Burwell aka DJ Sweet Daddy SammyB/The Secret Agent, grew up in New York City, where he found a great interest in Hip Hop music. After befriending Kool DJ Red Alert in the early 80’s through a family member, Red Alert became his DJ mentor. As his love for Hip Hop grew, so did his passion for mixing, cutting, scratching and spinning vinyl’s. He became a member of the legendary group Jungle Brothers, which was formed by Red Alert. During that time, he toured around the world & performed in numerous videos with A Tribe called Quest, Queen Latifah, De La Soul, Black Sheep, and Monie Love to name a few. During 1988-1990, he was a fill-in DJ for Red Alert on 98.7 Kiss FM in New York City, while Red Alert toured with Boogie Down Productions.

Currently, he is touring with the JB’s and working on numerous projects throughout the world. His unique style captivates audiences of all genres.
