News) A little bit of prison time doesn "t seem to bother Queens, New York rapper
Ja Rule, who is hard at work on a new project that will drop before he starts
a prison sentence sometime next month.
Ja Rule, who was sentenced to two years in prison after police found the rapper
with a loaded handgun in October of 2007, after a concert in New York.
According to Ja, he will drop a new project titled The Renaissance Project
before he begins his prison sentence.
"Damn, some of u act like 18 months is forever," Ja Rule tweeted
today (January 3rd). It aint Hard to tell who the snitches are!!!…Renaissance
Project will be dropping before I go in."
The Renaissance Project was originally supposed to be titled Venni Vetti Vecci
2010, a nod to the original title of his hit 1999 album that contained the single
"Holla Holla."
Ja Rule is no longer signed to Murder Inc. and will drop his new album via
his own label MPire Music Group.
The rapper will hit court on February 9th, to schedule a date to surrender.
