Method Man to Voice Character in new animated series, ‘Chozenâ

Method Man is stepping back into the show biz game, but this time he’s bringing his distinctive voice to the TV screen in an animated series on new channel FXX.

New FX offshoot FXX announced its first original series Thursday — an animated comedy about a gay white rapper who’s newly released from prison and is on a quest for redemption and domination.

“Chozen,” from the creators of “Archer” and “Eastbound & Down,” will also feature the voices of Grant Dekernion — who will also write, executive-produce, and rap for the show — as well as Nick Swardson, Danny McBride, Kathryn Hahn, Hannibal Buress, Michael Pena and “Saturday Night Live’s” Bobby Moynihan.

“Chozen is an outrageous and ballsy comedy, but it’s also a very smart examination of the rap culture,” FX president Nick Grad said in a statement.
