Master P Paid For Slain Mother Andrea Arnold’s Funeral/Concert
WDRB 41 Louisville News

Wearing a t-shirt with her mother "s photo on it, 7-year-old Aireal Sawyers sits with family, making a plea to whoever killed 26-year-old Andrea Arnold.

The mother of three, who also had a 9-year-old and 10-month old, was found last weekend, shot to death in an alley between Hill Street and West Gaulbert Street. That "s in the Algonguin neighborhood.

So far, no arrests have been made and whoever is responsible is still out there.

"We forgive you. Our family is asking you to just please turn yourself in, so we can be at ease. So we can have closure into this matter," says the victim "s cousin, Tanesia Davidson.

Arnold "s family says the past week has been tough, especially paying for the funeral. The young mother didn "t have insurance.

That "s where rapper Master P has stepped in.

He has spent time in Louisville in past years, promoting efforts to encourage kids to avoid drugs and violence. He "s now taking care of funeral expenses for this family.

This weekend, he came face to face with the family for the first time.

He says he understands the struggle they are going through.

"I lost a brother to senseless crimes in this type of community," says Master P.

He says he wanted to make sure the young mom "s kids are also taken care of.

"I just hope that she "ll be okay to celebrate Christmas for the first time without her mother," says Tonisha Arnold, the victim "s sister.

Master P is now helping to make sure the kids will have gifts, and something to celebrate.

The family says they are grateful and touched by what he is doing, as they continue to make a plea to the community to help solve this case.

"I "m begging the community to come together and find out who did this to this little girl "s momma. That would be the biggest Christmas gift we could give to her and her other siblings," says Master P.

"And honestly I think Andrea will rest peacefully knowing the person who did this to her is behind bars," says Tanesia Davidson.

There will be a benefit concert with Master P next Sunday on December 15th at the Gillespie.

He says money raised will buy toys for this family, and for other kids going through similar situations.
