Nas has won Best Rap Album—his first ever Grammy Award—at the 2021 Grammys. The rap veteran’s 13th studio album King’s Disease beat out works by D Smoke (Black Habits), Jay Electronica (A Written Testimony), Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist (Alfredo), and Royce 5'9" (The Allegory) for the honor.
Nas has been nominated for a Grammy 14 times in total. He was first nominated in 1996 when “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That)” lost in the Best Rap Solo performance category. Last year, Nas performed at the Grammys with Lil Nas X.
