This past Sunday Rock Steady provided Newark with well over 8 straight hours
of hip-hop. Without a doubt, an event that makes us proud to represent the
culture. Kids in strollers to grandparents in scooters were there for this
peaceful event in Newark. The Mayor of the people, Cory Booker was in attendance.
Performances were from underground legends of the likes of Kurious, Hakim
Green to Rah Digga. Craig G and Masta Ace teamed up to drop the Symphony.
Craig G brought it to 2011 and gave his version of Otis. You have to watch
pioneers like the Cold
Crush tear the stage down with their classics. The list of artists that
touched the stage was long, but a special thanks has to go out to the Rock
Steady Crew for being a main thread in the fabric of hip-hop.
