Mobb Deep Taps Nas, Rick Ross & Waka Flocka Flame for New Album

The Infamous Mobb is back. Ever since Prodigy and Havoc teamed up with Jay Electronica on "Call of Duty," the streets have been clamoring for a new Mobb Deep album. And they "re ready to deliver, with a new self-titled album set for February 2012.

While Havoc will still handle the bulk of production, the Queens duo boasts some surprise collaborations on the mic. "Hav is the main producer on the album and then Alchemist," Prodigy told BET.com. "We got stuff from The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and S1 [Symbolic One] we "ve got a lot of joints people are going to be surprised. Of course we got Nas on there, we "ve got a few joints with Rick Ross in the works we "ve been working with Waka Flocka Flame. Just a lot of different artist, I was actually talking with T.I. the other day and we were talking about maybe doing something in the future."

For now, P says their focus is on good music. "We "re just making good music," Prodigy asserts. "When you make music that "s great it appeals to everybody, it doesn "t matter what age group. As long as the productions sound good and the lyrics are tight everybody is going to like it. Good music breaks through those barriers."

First up on Mobb Deep "s release schedule is the Black Cocaine EP, set for the day after Thanksgiving. Their self-titled 9th studio album will follow in February 2012.
