DR. DRE INKS SCRIPT DEAL WITH FX

Businessman/music mogul Dr. Dre has reportedly agreed on a script development deal with cable network FX for a one hour drama pilot that will revolve around the music scene and crime industry in L.A.

Standing as Dr. Dre’s partner will be creator and writer Sydney Quashi and both will be executive producers of the show. Hollywood Reporter claims that producers Brad Bertner and Daniel Schneider will be co-executive producers for Dre’s Crucial TV. This past March, Dr. Dre also announced that he will be co-producing Thaw, a horror thriller under Crucial Films.

With the evident boom of Beats Electronics, Dr. Dre’s jump into mainstream TV will definitely boost his status into a more worldwide standpoint. Alongside co-founder Jimmy Iovine, Beats Electronics saw its shares acquired by Universal Music Group and HTC Corporation, a Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer. In 2011, Beats’ Electronics net share has reported to have reached 59 million dollars.
