The Hieroglyphics announced this week their first annual Hiero Day music festival, a music block party slated to go down on September 3rd in their hometown of Oakland, California.

The free, all-ages event will features performances from Hiero, Blackalicious, Planet Asia, Equipto, Z Man, and Mo Green, among others. It will go down from 11am to 6pm, and will feature Oakland vendors, food trucks, a family area, a skate area, and performances.

The festival will host Bay Area-based acts on the main stage, and celebrate Oakland and support local businesses, the community and independent hip-hop culture.

While this will be the inaugural Hiero Day, the crew plans to make it an annual celebration showcasing "a diversity of innovative, multicultural, and local music," according to a press release.

Heiro Day will be located at: San Pablo and 17th Streets, Oakland, California from 11am-6pm.
